Motorola's MOSCAD and MOSCAD-L RTUs are used extensively in the monitoring and control of water systems. The flexibility of the MDLC (Motorola Data Link Communications) protocol allows extensive and dynamic communications between RTUs, ideal for the control of pump stations based on tank level and other changing conditions.

The following is a list of just some of the features available in our water systems.

Tank-to-Pump communications is available for the purpose of controlling pumps based on tank level.
Tank-to-Pump paths can be changed dynamically. One tank site can control several pumps at different locations simultaneously.
Setpoints can be uploaded to tank sites by the SCADA system operator, so setpoints are changed dynamically as system requirements change.
Automatic rotation of pumps is available based on manual settings, daily schedules, weekly schedules, or based on other parameters.
The intelligence of the MOSCAD RTU allows for very efficient use of radio frequencies. Complex tank-to-pump communications can be utilized without slowing down overall system response.
Store-and-forward repeater operation is available from any RTU in the system, allowing greatly expanded coverage areas for your SCADA system.
